Nimonic alloy 901 is a super-alloy based on nickel, iron, and chromium, the main elements. This alloy stands out for the high anticorrosion features and excellent oxidation resistance, as well as good high-temperature performance. Legally nickel amounts to 42-45% with iron to be 43-48% most of the time. Amounts of chromium are 11-14%, titanium amounts 2.5-3.1%, aluminum makes up 2.1-2.5%, and niobium is 0.5-1.0%. Advantages and Disadvantages of Nimonic Alloy 901
